The concepts described essentially created an incentive structure that triggered an incredible emergent behaviour that became the world’s first decentralised value transfer system – Bitcoin.
This experiment (built on a technology architecture called the Blockchain) proved that unstoppable, global systems without any central control could be created.
Wave after wave of innovation have taken decentralisation to a point where the Blockchain has now become synonymous with a global movement towards creating systems that fundamentally challenge the notion that we need to rely on trusted third parties to transact on our behalf.
We can now build a new generation of global, open, transparent systems that create incentive structures that fundamentally challenge our approach to trust.
