Virtual Industry Session: MBIE Consultation on Payment Services Regulation
Blockchain Forum New Zealand has been approached by the Ministry for Business, Innovation & Employment (MBIE) to provide feedback on its open consultation on payment services regulation. With submissions closing 3 July, we’re convening a virtual industry session to coordinate a collective BFNZ response, rather than members responding individually.
This session will be used to:
- Gather member perspectives on MBIE’s proposed approach
- Identify shared priorities, risks, and recommendations
- Confirm next steps for drafting a collective submission following the call
Session lead
Paul Quickenden, Head of Country NZ at Swyftx and member of the Blockchain Forum Executive Council, will help conduct the session. The session will be used to gather industry input on the topic and support the drafting of a collective response following the call.
Who should attend
Blockchain Forum members and stakeholders across policy, legal/regulatory, compliance, risk, product, payments, and leadership teams.
