Annual General Meeting & Blockchain Talk – Sean Au – The Uber of Electricity

26 April @ 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Free

“The Uber of Electricity – How to sell excess electricity to your neighbour via the blockchain”

In an effort to disrupt the prehistoric energy sector, Sean has developed a way to measure electricity consumption, store it in a decentralised distributed database, sell it to his neighbour and get paid via bitcoins. In this month’s talk, he will explain to us how this is done.

The BANZ Annual General Meeting will be held shortly after the talk, at around 7:30pm. Board members will be voted in at this time.

About the speaker: With a background in software, cloud integration and training, Sean is currently actively researching practical applications of crypto-currencies, blockchains and smart contracts and passionate about sharing this with those around him.

Free and open to the public. The venue for this event has been generously donated by GridAKL.
