Blockchain Talk – Back to Basics: What Makes a Blockchain Useful? – Arthur Falls

A walk through of the most significant differentiating qualities of blockchain databases along with explanations of production examples and industry commentary. Part of the talk will expound on the excellent critique of decentralized two sided markets Oliver Bruce presented at the last Meetup. If you know nothing about blockchains you will walk away with a practical understanding. If you are a core protocol developer, you will gain new tools of explanation.
Arthur Falls is a researcher, online community liaison, and media professional with a background in independent journalism and podcasting. By identifying an audience’s communication style and fields of interest, he can select the relevant elements of a subject for effective translation into terms the target audience can understand. He is also Director of Media at Consensus Systems, the largest blockchain specific development studio in the world.
